The Res

I've never been one for the heat, and this trip was no exception. My memory is a bit fuzzy at this point since it was nearly a year ago we went out to the reservation in Palm Springs for a short hike after checking on Nathalie's condo. The heat frying my brain hasn't helped my memory - but I do remember it was VERY hot. This trip happened some time in August of 2007.

We started by following the Andreas Canyon loop. There was plenty of water running in the canyon and it looked cool with all the palm trees. The loop was short so next we headed down Murray Canyon (or at least I think that is where we went). I don' have any pictures from that section of trip, it just just too warm to stop and take a picture. We hiked back to a waterfll and there really wasn't any water, shade, or anything other than hot air back there. I was soo glad to get back to the car after running out of water about a mile before the parking lot. Our total hike was way less than 10 miles and I still managed to suck down 100 oz of water. Next time we'll go when it isn't summer. We headed down to the little shop once we got to the car and got some sodas, then we headed out. The pics below are all from Andreas Canyon.
