Cajon Pass

The Cajon Pass area is pretty cool. It is kind of like a mini version of Josh. The rock is the same, the climbs are very similar, the only difference is really the height of the climbs. In Josh, I would say the average climb is 60+ feet high. In Cajon, they are about 30 feet. There are a ton of good problems out here. Almost all routes are bolted and seem to be maintained by someone. Bring a rope, 10 quick draws, harness, shoes, chalk and you can have days of fun out here. One snag, the land is privately owned and you may be shot for climbing there. The rumor is the land is owned by an old man who walks the area with his gun and has been known to take a few shots at people. I have never seen him but I have only been there once. When I go back I will get some pictures and post them here. The problems range from 5.7 to 5.12 or higher. Lots and lots of awesome short climbs. Some cave routes, overhangs, and hug jugs. Not much for crack systems.
