The Search for Pine City

So we heard of this lost city called "Pine City", an old mining town out in Joshua Tree. We did some research, dug up some maps, and headed out. Pine City was definitely a real place at one point in time but it apparaently no longer exists. We hit the back country of Joshua Tree and wondered around for 2 days trying to find remnants of it with no luck, just a few old tin cans and pieces of wood. We did a big loop through some canyons that definitely do not see much traffic. It was fun searching around for a glimpse at the past. We did find some game cameras and some sort of strange watering device. Here are some pics from the trip.
