Boring

My battery died when I took my first picture so I don't have anything to show you. I did a quick trip up to "Major Bolt Ladder". I setup a static line since there is no good anchor to solo it. I still setup a psuedo solo by slinging a large boulder at the base of the route. I led up to the mini roof, fixed the lead line, rapped down, and cleaned the route. I was planning to haul to the mini roof, then complete the route but didn't have time since I was moving so slow. Cleaning the route gave me a problem right were I fixed the lead line. It was good though since I got to practice some of the techniques I don't get to use often. This part of the route is an overhanging traverse. My lower ascender kept getting sucked into the biner so I couldn't clean it. I clipped a biner to my harness and used a 20' piece of perlon to set up a mechanical advantage to haul myself up to the piece, thus putting my weight on the placement and not on my ascenders. I could then move my acender above the piece, lower off the piece back onto the ascenders, and clean the piece.

It looks like the hanger for the next upward move is gone but the bolt is still there, should be able to cinch it.
