Mt Rubidoux is located in Riverside California. It is not the best place to climb but it is close to were I live and is easily accessable. It is a nice place to take new climbers. All the climbs can be top roped. Some routes are bolted and there are several routes you can trad lead if you desire. I did spend a good amount of time here before I switched jobs. I would drive over about 2:00 in the afternoon because my hours were flexible. It is a fairly good place to boulder. The problems aren't very long though. I have done some Aid Climbing practice here. Since the climbs are not all that high, it was a good place to practice.

The rock itself is very similar to that of Joshua Tree. It is much more coarse though and will take the skin right off. You can find crack systems, slabs, overhangs, huecos, and just about anything else here. It is a good little crag.
